Competitive water skiing consists of three events: Distance Jumping, Slalom Skiing, and Trick Skiing. I compete in all three events, but I specialize in Distance Jumping. I have been skiing since age 3 and began competing at age 7.
Will Roberts is a fifteen-year-old sophomore in high school seeking sponsorship for his competitive water-ski jumping pursuits. Will currently lives with his family in Dow, IL.
I have been fortunate to have skied with and learned from some of the greatest ski jumpers in the world. For six of the eight years of my competitive water-ski career, I have jumped farther than any other ski jumper in history. At ages 10 and 11, I ranked second in all-time distance.
Absent injury, I hope to have the opportunity to compete against the professionals by the time I'm 20.
I realize this sport may be new to you, but I believe that the sheer danger and excitement of Distance Jumping present a novel opportunity to catch the attention of viewers around the world.
